The RiverHouse Hide-Away is tucked into the corner of a nearly-one-acre estate.

The house is only a few feet from a crystal-clear river that runs year-round.

From the small rapids near the house, it meanders gently through

a carpet-like lawn, and is complemented by some huge

majestic trees and amazing tropical plantings.

The blue Pacific is visible beyond the trees.

This Hilo Classic was built in 1948 and is in near-new conditon.

The Hide-Away is the spacious ground floor of the house

and has just been completely remodeled.

Your living room, tastefully appointed in a tropical motif, is a warm and

inviting space. There's an entertainment center with a TV, VCR/DVD/CD

player and a stereo for your listening enjoyment. There's also a collection

of books,CDs and DVDs. The windows in the distance in the right

photo look out to your private lanai and the river.

Dine to the sweet sound of the river rapids just outside your door!

You have your own personal fireplace that special evening ambiance; an

entertainment center with cable TV, stereo, VCR and DVD players; and a stereo that plays

tapes and CDs . -- Wireless and cable RoadRunner high-speed Internet are provided.

The comfortable full-size futon sofa makes into an extra bed, if needed.

Your kitchenette is supplied with everything you'll need for fixing light meals.

Enjoy dining or just soak up some sun on the lanai while dreaming to the music of the river.

property is meitculously maintained. You will enjoy walking the grounds

and seeing all of the beautiful tropical flowers, and feel free to
sample any of the several fruits that are in season
during your stay here.

 

The Hide-Away is a gracious, elegant space that includes a lovely, private

bedroom, a kitchenette with microwave, blender, toaster oven and all the

usual kitchen supplies. There is one bath with a shower, and a full laundry.

 

You'll be right in Hilo, close to theaters, dining, museums, art galleries,

beach parks, snorkely, kayaking, hiking and more.
